Telephone Call Accounting and Traffic Analysis Features of a Successful System
Comprehensive and easy to use. Daily call processing
runs automatically. Monthly processing takes just a few key
strokes, though some organizations schedule the monthlies
to run automatically as well. And there is a convenient on-line
interface for keeping organization related information up to date.
Call details are available on-line for ad hoc queries, with
access by a variety of search keys, updated daily, including:
extension, department, city or country, called number,
exchange, area code, trunk used, account, or authorization
code.
Credit card and other off-premises expenses, if they are
available from the phone companies in computer readable
form, can be merged with phone system expense data.
Telephone equipment and other charges also can be
expensed and reported.
Cost Allocation, including proportional distribution of
overhead, is flexible and thorough. If desired, monthly
expense totals can be fed directly into a General Ledger.
Reporting includes: Expense Detail, Summary, History,
Off-Hours Usage, Heavy Usage, Traffic by Destination, Trunk
Usage (Daily and Monthly), and Trunk Group Traffic Analysis
Traffic Analysis reporting clearly shows the percentage of
calls that are being blocked during the busy period each day,
and the effect of adding or removing one or more trunk lines
to the phone system.
The system is extremely reliable and virtually bug-free.
Easy to install, runs efficiently, and has been completely
supported, so as not to need attention of the customers'
technical or computer operations people.
TeleMarshal Telephone Management has been available
on a two month trial, with the System staged for the customer's
environment at TeleMar and shipped to customer ready to run.
There are approximately 67,000 lines of COBOL code, consisting of:
